Air Conditioning/HVAC Rebate Program

Residential CL&P and UI customers may qualify for an incentive for installing energy efficient central air conditioning or heat pump systems that have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) rating of 14 or higher. |

Geothermal Heat Pumps Rebate

All CL&P and UI residential electric service customers. |
| Incentive: |
$500 per ton incentive (Maximum incentive is $3000) for the installation of ARI-rated geothermal systems |

The geothermal system must be performance-tested in order to qualify for the incentive. See attached application for more information. |

Home Energy Solutions Program
| Eligibility: |
Residential;
Single family and multi-family homes;
Free to all customers who heat their homes with electricity or natural gas (customers who heat their homes with oil, propane or kerosene pay a $300 co-pay for this service).
Applies to CL&P and UI customers, as well as CNG, Yankee Gas, Southern Connecticut Gas customers. |
| Incentive: |
Free Services; Rebates. Dependent on funding availability. Rebates up to $500 for qualified Central Air Conditioning systems; totaling up to $350 for replacing other inefficient appliances; insulation upgrade incentives. |
| Program Features: |
A comprehensive program free to all customers who heat their homes with electricity or natural gas with the goal of reducing customers' total energy use through a comprehensive treatment of residential dwellings. The program offers a full range of energy efficiency measures to address inefficient lighting, water heating, heating equipment, refrigeration, and insufficient insulation. |

Low Income Energy Efficiency Programs

Residential; Income limits; WRAP - CL&P; renters or homeowners within an income at or below 60% of the state median income; UI helps; households with an income of up to 200% of federal poverty level qualify. |

| Program Features: |
Helps low-income homeowners (or renters) affordably adapt to energy efficiency measures. Customers may be eligible for free energy-saving products for home. An energy specialist will find and professionally seal drafts/cracks/leaks in windows and doors; and if needed, add insulation to walls and attic, provide and install energy-efficient compact fluorescent bulbs, install water conservation equipment, such as faucet aerators and low-flow shower heads; determine if you qualify for energy efficient appliance heating |

Power Factor Improvement
| Eligibility: |
CL&P customers who are provided electricity through Rate 58 tariff who have a 12 month average power factor below the approved qualification threshold. |
| Incentive: |
Incentives up to 50% of installed cost to improve power factor to the rate average power factor (0.898 for Rate 58). Absolute cap of $60/KVAR |

Solar photovoltaic (PV) Rebate
| Eligibility: |
Residential; Single or multi family (up to 4 units) residences in CT; Nonprofit and govenmental organizations. Business and Developers. |
| Incentive: |
Rebate; $5 for the first 5 kW, $4.30 for the next 5 kW; The current solar rebate offered by CCEF is based on the design efficiency of your system. |
| Program Features: |
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) is providing rebates of $5.00 per watt (maximum $25,000) for the installation of new, approved, grid-connected, PV systems. Under the CCEF program, cash Rebates are only available for PV systems purchased through an Eligible Installer who is authorized to apply for rebates for approved systems on Connecticut residences. Rebates must be passed on, in full, to customers. Eligible Installers may not require customers to pay the full costs and then wait for reimbursement from CCEF |
